What we run, and who runs it.

Pavers, rollers, excavators, planing and haulage — all owned, all run by our own operators. A job is never waiting on a hired machine turning up, and the man driving the paver on your road has driven that paver before. We keep investing in it, because the standard on the ground is what people see for the next twenty years.

Pavers

Three machines covering working widths from 1.2 to 6 metres, so the width of the job decides the paver rather than the other way round.

Vögele

SUPER 800i

The compact paver. Footpaths, greenways, cycle paths and anywhere the working width is tight or the access is minimal.

Dynapac

SD2500

The bigger of the two modern machines. Car parks, site roads and full-width resurfacing where there is room to run.

The yellow Bitelli paver laying a private driveway under mature trees.

BB 740

The old reliable, still working. Driveways and lanes, where a smaller machine gets in and does a neater job than a big one would.

Rollers and compaction

Behind every paver, and the difference between a surface that lasts and one that does not.

Three yellow RM Cleary BOMAG tandem rollers parked in a row on freshly laid asphalt at a filling station forecourt.
BOMAG

Tandem rollers

From 2 tonnes up to 12, so the weight suits the job — the small ones on footpaths, greenways and driveways and in behind the kerbs, the heavy ones following the paver across a carriageway.

Excavators

The groundworks end of the job — digging out, building up and trimming to level before anything gets surfaced.

Planing

Taking the old surface off before anything new goes down — and getting into the places a full-width planer cannot.

Haulage

We run our own modern fleet of HGVs, supplying the crew with the materials they need, when they need them.
